    Dr. Natalie Apparicio-Farrell

    Financial Consultant

    Dr. Natalie Apparicio-Farrell is a financial consultant who combines her medical and financial expertise with her entrepreneurial experience to offer families personalized wealth management solutions. Her wealth management practice focuses on serving healthcare professionals, women and business owners using a client-centric, team-based approach.

    She earned her medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad, and has over eight years of experience in the healthcare sector. As a firm believer in continuing education, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), with an additional focus on healthcare administration.

    A dedicated advocate for underserved communities, she participates in medical mission trips to developing countries. She also offers free financial literacy seminars, empowering individuals with the tools for sound financial decision-making.

    She is married to a family physician and is the mother of three wonderful kids. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading and outdoor fun with her family.

    Chief of Emergency Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital

    Dr. Steve Lin is an emergency physician, trauma team leader, and scientist in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. He is an Associate Professor and clinician-scientist in the Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine with appointments at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, and the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics at Ryerson University. Dr. Lin’s translational research program aims to improve resuscitation and outcomes in cardiac arrest patients. He is the Co-PI of the Canadian Sudden Cardiac Arrest Network (c-scan.org) and of the CIHR-funded Epinephrine Dose: Optimal Versus Standard Evaluation (EpiDOSE) randomized controlled trial (NCT03826524).

    Dr. Lin is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support medical director and instructor at the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and is currently the medical director of the ACLS education program at Unity Health Toronto. He is an evidence reviewer for the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation and a chapter author for the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

    Dr. Sharon Morong MD MSc FRCSC is the Founder and Director of the Sleep Endoscopy Centre for Snoring and Sleep Apnea.

    She is an Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada specializing in Sleep Medicine and Sleep Diagnostics. She is also a Lecturer in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Toronto. During her career, she has received numerous awards and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on Sleep Medicine and Sleep Surgery. She has been an invited speaker on Sleep Endoscopy at national and international conferences.

    Dr. Chantal Phillips is a second-year resident in the Family Medicine Stream of the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Program at the University of Ottawa. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Toronto in 2023 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Medical Science at Western University in 2018. Passionate about community-focused health, Dr. Phillips has led projects addressing health inequities in Toronto’s Black communities, including culturally relevant COVID-19 communications and a community-based research initiative assessing the pandemic's impact on Black populations. Her clinical and social interests center on Black adolescent health, reflected in a longitudinal health promotion initiative she co-created to provide marginalized youth in Ottawa with primary care and mental health services. Dr. Phillips aspires to integrate public health and primary care as a family physician and community health leader.

    Currently serving as President of the Black Resident Physicians of Ontario (BRPO) under the Black Physicians Association of Ontario, Dr. Phillips is dedicated to enhancing support for residents, including launching initiatives such as the inaugural Bootcamp Brunch and Wellness Circle Series
